Halle Berry’s ex Olivier Martinez storms out of court during testimony on abuse allegations
Halle Berry’s ex-husband, Olivier Martinez, walked out of court Tuesday during closed-door testimony at the domestic violence restraining order hearing.
Page Six can exclusively report that Martinez, 60, left the Los Angeles County Superior Court courtroom looking agitated and distressed alongside his attorney, Patrick Baghdaserians.
The French actor could be heard using profanity during a heated discussion with Baghdaserians regarding the testimony before the two headed to the toilet, only to return about five minutes later.
Jon Hay — a staff member at the school Berry attends and Martinez’s 13-year-old son, Maceo — was scheduled to testify behind closed doors Tuesday. Hay had previously raised concerns about Maceo’s behavior at school, according to a recent court filing.
Berry, 60, also spoke Tuesday. Martinez is also expected to testify.
The judge agreed to close the courtroom during any testimony involving the minor child.
As Page Six previously reported, the former couple maintained their distance throughout their court appearances, with the two exchanging cold glances on Monday.
Maceo testified in person for nearly four hours on the first day of the hearing, and Berry’s 18-year-old daughter, Nahla Aubry, is expected to testify later this week.
Aubry, the daughter of “Monster’s Ball” star and model Gabriel Aubry, 50, previously came to her mother’s defense, saying in a court statement that she had “never seen my mother hit, slap, choke, grab or physically abuse Maceo in any way.”
Martinez requested a temporary restraining order against Berry and requested sole custody of their child earlier this month.
In the filing, Martinez accused Berry of being violent toward their son while her fiancé, Van Hunt, was present.
Berry’s lawyer, Marina Beck, vigorously denied the claims, calling them “completely unfounded and deliberately misleading.”
Martinez and Berry married in 2013, the same year they welcomed Maceo, before splitting two years later.
The hearing will continue on Wednesday.
