Halloween Havoc ends with CM Punk announcing he will challenge for the NXT Championship

Tonight’s main event (Saturday October 31, 2026) Halloween mayhem The television special from the Performance Center in Orlando, Florida featured Grayson Waller putting the NXT Championship on the line against Tony D’Angelo. Waller won the title from D’Angelo in a Fatal 4-Way at Heat waveas he stole Cruz Montana’s track record to become the new king of a division struggling with its own identity.

He arrived with a shoot-style promo claiming to reset the standard. The fact that he won the title so quickly confirms his words. This was the first opportunity Tony D had to set things right.

The live audience gave him a visual pin to the tune of nine, but the referee was stunned, of course, and unable to count down. Naturally, Waller took advantage of this by exiting the ring, grabbing a gun, and swinging The Don over the head with it.

He returned to the ring with the Rolling Stunner and it earned him the pinfall to retain the title.

The questions about what’s next for Tony D will undoubtedly come from there, but we know what’s next for Waller: a championship match against CM Punk on NXT TV next week, facing the big box of AEW. Blood and guts to show.
