As always, Apple’s shipping estimates are based on a combination of supply and demand, and we don’t know how much supply was available on the first day of pre-orders. BloombergMark Gurman of , said that iPhone Duo supply would be limited, following previous reports of potential manufacturing issues leading to low production yield.
With delivery times until 2027, the iPhone Duo is no longer available in time for delivery before Christmas via Apple’s online store.
It may still be possible to get an iPhone Duo well before January by visiting an Apple Store on launch day on October 23. However, given how quickly shipping times have decreased, it seems likely that most locations will have extremely limited inventory for walk-in customers. The iPhone Duo is also available at retailers like Best Buy.
Apple Store pickup was briefly an option when pre-ordering an iPhone Duo from Apple’s online store, but the pickup system has now been disabled, with Apple now telling customers to come back on Saturday, October 24 for this.
