Heidi Klum: Halloween Costume Clues Revealed Ahead of Her 2026 Party
October 30, 2026, 11:41 a.m. ET
Heidi Klum is giving fans another piece of her Halloween costume puzzle.
The model and “Project Runway” host, 53, offered a new clue during her pre-party on Thursday, Oct. 29, ahead of her 25th annual Halloween party on Saturday, Oct. 31.
“My body is going to take a shape that normally a human body wouldn’t fit into,” she told USA TODAY.
The clue follows a series of disturbing teasers on Instagram: an October 24 post showed colorful pieces resembling organs and tissue, while an October 27 post featured shiny, flesh-colored pieces. “What is my costume?” she wrote. Later previews included pink web-like material surrounding translucent shapesand a mannequin fitted with a large black frame and brown straps.

She now invites her fans to put together the clues.
Klum’s planning starts early: She told USA TODAY last Halloween that she already knows what she wants to be in 2026.
Heidi Klum never has to worry about matching her costumes for Halloween
Whatever the final look, Klum has little concern about another guest arriving in the same costume.
“Someone in the same costume as me? That’s not going to happen. It’s just not going to happen,” she told USA TODAY.

Her past transformations include a giant worm in 2022, a peacock in 2023, and the beloved movie character ET in 2024. Last year, she arrived as a scaly green Jellyfish, while her soldier-dressed husband Tom Kaulitz turned to stone.
But having a new look every year doesn’t mean Klum is opposed to repeating a favorite.
“Especially if you have a great worm costume in your wardrobe, I would definitely wear it again and again,” she says.

She also reveals that she spends more time getting ready than the party itself, which she says happens to her almost every Halloween due to the hours her costumes and prosthetics require.
“I spend more time getting ready than the party,” she says.
When it comes to coordinating with Kaulitz, it’s Klum who makes the costume decisions.
“Tom certainly doesn’t have the final say when it comes to the couple’s costume or any other type of costume,” she says. “No, he totally lets me be the boss when it comes to costumes. Rightly so, I think.”
Halloween is also a family affair for Klum, whose children Leni Klum, 22, Henry Samuel, 21, and Johan Samuel, 19, were also at her party.

She’s also willing to let fans choose a future costume, as long as she can see the options first. Still, she says she prefers surprise.
“I find it more fun when you don’t know anything at all,” she says.
But Klum says she’ll never take a year off to be the queen of Halloween.
“Are you taking a year off? Are you crazy?” Klum said.
She remembers falling seriously ill and spending three days in the hospital before her Halloween party in 2013, while dressing as an elderly woman. Klum said she was about to receive a blood transfusion, but despite health issues, she didn’t give up on her Halloween commitment.

After leaving the hospital, she said, she flew straight to New York, did hair and makeup and went to the party.
“I came straight out of the hospital, but I still went,” she said. “So yeah, me not going? Yeah, that’s not going to happen.”
