Heidi Klum’s latest Halloween transformation is finally here.
The model and “Project Runway” host, 53, arrived at her annual Halloween party on Saturday, Oct. 31, dressed as a life-size severed hand, showing off her look at the New York Cathedral.
His legs made up two of the hand’s fingers, which featured red-painted nails, golden rings, and a bloody gash on his wrist near where his face stuck out, complete with additional prosthetics to make him even scarier.
The revelation follows days of cryptic clues from Klum, whose elaborate costumes include a giant worm, a peacock and a snake-haired Medusa.

“I feel great,” Klum told USA TODAY on the blue carpet. “I think there were about 10, 15 people helping me (put the costume on) today, but you know, there’s a lot more people who have been working on it for months already. I already had this idea last year, and they were thinking about how to put it in my hand. And they built it, painted it,” she says, pointing out “all these little details, all the veins and everything.”
“It’s a lot,” she said. “It was crazy when I saw it today, I was like, ‘Wow, that turned out exactly the way I wanted it to.’ It’s so much fun when you have a crazy idea and it becomes reality.”

Klum’s daughter, Leni, noted that her mother’s costume had a special detail: She incorporated her wedding ring as one of the hand jewelry.
“I just saw my mom, I love that she added her wedding ring to the suit. I think it’s crazy, and I’m going to have a great night,” Leni Klum told USA TODAY.

The 22-year-old, dressed as a glamorous Miss Piggy with a purple feather boa, pearls and a pink muzzle, says her model mother’s costumes are “always a 10”.
“It still looks amazing and I think everyone can agree with me,” says Leni Klum. “Seeing it in person is so much cooler.”
She says she didn’t get to see her mother’s costumes in person, but “when I first started, I think this is the fourth year I’ve seen it in person, it’s just crazy. It’s not even like the pictures. So to see it live and see her standing right next to me, it’s like, ‘Woah.'”

Klum’s husband, Tom Kaulitz, who often joins her in a coordinating Halloween costume, missed this year’s festivities. Klum previously told Entertainment Tonight ahead of the party that Kaulitz “won’t be there because he’s unfortunately on tour,” noting that he would “miss her” and “miss the biggest party of the year.”
“I thought it would have been a great couples costume, because if my husband could have been here, he could have been on the other side,” Klum told USA TODAY at her party. “Boom, it could have been like left hand, right hand. It could have been my right hand!”
Heidi Klum teased her 2026 Halloween costume
At her Oct. 29 pre-party, Klum gave USA TODAY a new clue about the transformation. “My body is going to take a shape that normally a human body wouldn’t fit into,” she says.
Klum also teased the costume on social media, sharing photos and videos of what appeared to be organs and tissue without revealing the full look.

Klum also said this year’s costume would be “very, very bloody.”
The model says she’s willing to let fans choose a future costume, as long as she can see the options first. Still, she says, keeping people guessing is part of the fun.
“I find it more fun when you don’t know anything at all,” she says.
Getting into character also takes time. Klum said she usually spends more time preparing than celebrating Halloween because of the hours required to bring her elaborate costumes to life, especially those involving prosthetics.
When it comes to coordination with Kaulitz, it is Klum who makes the decisions.
“Tom certainly doesn’t have the final say when it comes to the couple’s costume or any other type of costume,” she says. “No, he totally lets me be the boss when it comes to costumes. Rightly so, I think.”

From ET Medusa: All Heidi Klum’s Halloween Costumes
In 2025, Klum transformed into a scaly green Jellyfish, while Kaulitz dressed as a soldier turned into stone.
This followed his ET suit in 2024 and his peacock look in 2023. Her 2022 giant worm costume remains a look she would happily revisit.

When it came to repeating a Halloween costume, Klum gave the idea her stamp of approval.
“I would definitely say yes, and especially if you have a great worm costume in your closet,” she says. “I would definitely wear it again and again.”
However, taking a year off elicited a different response.
“Are you taking a year off? Are you crazy?” she said.
Klum remembers spending three days in the hospital before heading to New York for her 14th annual Halloween party, when she dressed as an elderly woman.
“I came straight out of the hospital, but I still went,” she says. “So I won’t go? Yeah, that’s not going to happen.”
