Hellraiser: Revival Gameplay permanently bans YouTuber

A YouTuber has had his channel permanently banned from his platform for featuring Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival gameplay that featured unclear explicit content.

The YouTuber in question goes by the name xj0nathan on X (formerly Twitter) and has informed players of the issue. He has been running his YouTube channel for over 10 years and has accumulated a subscriber base of 190,000 during this time. However, one particular gameplay video from Saber Interactive’s latest title seems to have erased all those years of hard work.

Spotted by IGN on September 23, xj0nathan revealed on X that his YouTube video on Hellraiser: Revival had been removed from the platform due to “nudity”. A few days later, their channel was also deleted. The creator explained that the video contained an hour of content and included a short blurry scene. Despite this, their channel was still deleted, while several other users still had similar content on their channels without any censorship.

Just yesterday, the creator posted another update with a screenshot of a response from YouTube. The response stated: “We reviewed your content and found serious or repeated violations of our sex and nudity policy”, so they removed the channel. The response also stated: “Explicit content intended to be sexually gratifying is not allowed on YouTube. »

xj0nathan tried to make his case several times, but to no avail. He learned that this was the first violation he had suffered, and he also argued that the content they say was sexual gratification was just a short scene from an hour-long gaming video, which was also censored.

The creator’s latest post on X (formerly Twitter) calls on YouTube to conduct “one last serious review” of his case. He said if that doesn’t happen, he will have to consider appealing under the DSA and may take legal action through his lawyer.
