
Here’s When You Can Watch ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ at Home
Spider-Man: A Whole New Day is still in theaters, but soon, that won’t be the only place you can see it. Sony has just announced that the film, which recently became the highest-grossing film in US history, will be available here on October 6.
Yes, in just one week (or less depending on when you’re reading this), you can get on your favorite digital provider and watch the biggest hit Hollywood has ever seen. Or, if you prefer physical media, the film will be available on DVD, Blu-ray, and 4K on December 15.
The news comes just after a potential theatrical re-release is in the works, but if Sony follows the model of the previous one Spiderman film, which may not be released until mid-2027. This gives you the opportunity to see and rewatch the film well before that, with plenty of special features too! Just no deleted scenes.
Here’s a look at the special features on the 4K, Blu-ray, and digital releases (the DVD only has a fraction):
- Outtakes: blunders, blunders and gags – Go behind the scenes and inside the set hijinks caught on camera
- Featurettes:
- Tom Holland: The Evolving Spider – Step into the shoes of Tom Holland as he reveals his many evolving roles in front of and behind the camera while directing Spider-Man: All New Day.
- A whole new direction – Destin Daniel Cretton takes the audience into his creative process to capture a more mature Spider-Man who focuses on more complex themes.
- Secret Springs and Hidden Spider Eggs – Dive deep within yourself Spider-Man: A Whole New Day as secret and hidden references to the Marvel Universe and beyond are revealed.
- Possession! – Step into the process of inventing and executing the physical and practical performances that realize our villain’s powerful mental abilities on camera.
- Peter and the Punisher – Tom Holland and Jon Bernthal take a deep dive into their longtime off-camera relationship and how it fueled the undeniable on-screen chemistry between Spider-Man and the Punisher.
- Live Comics – Go behind the scenes and into director Dustin Daniel Cretton’s labor of love to painstakingly recreate some of the most iconic comic book covers and history of Spider-Man on camera live.
- Friends and enemies – Zendaya, Sadie Sink, Mark Ruffalo, Jacob Batalon and the all-star cast of Spider-Man: A Whole New Day takes the audience into the joyful and fun process of the entire cast.
- Racing canvases, wires and tanks – Peng Zhang, world-renowned stunt coordinator and action choreographer, details the practical approach to real-world spider stunts and action.
- Scorpions, Ninjas and Spider-Suit – The costume department of Spider-Man: A Whole New Day reveals the art of designing and executing a massive cast of costumes and reimagining the beloved Spider-Suit.
- Lost memories from filming: film – Take a look at the memories captured behind the scenes of filming.
The physical version will also contain limited edition Steelbooks, both dedicated to the film and with some trinkets. This is what it looks like.
