iCloud Mail and Calendar plugins now work with ChatGPT

This is a welcome change. OpenAI has just announced support for the iCloud Mail and Calendar plugin for ChatGPT. This means you can connect ChatGPT to your Apple mail and calendar, just like Gmail and other services.
For iCloud Mail and Calendar users, this should hopefully connect ChatGPT features like the Dots proactive agent feature for the first time.
For now, the announcement specifically mentions ChatGPT compatibility on web, desktop, and iOS. ChatGPT’s different features don’t always work together as initially intended, so we’ll need to test and see how far this extends to app features like Dots, Work, and Codex.
Each plugin requires logging in with an app-specific password, similar to third-party email and calendar apps that work with iCloud Mail and Calendar.
Update: Yes, both plugins enable ChatGPT Dot compatibility for the first time. You can even ask a ChatGPT Dot to help you configure the iCloud Mail and Calendar plugins.
