Her comments come after two people close to the ongoing investigation into the Somali-born lawmaker, including a law enforcement source, said her real name was Ilhan Nur Said Elmi. The last name is the same as that of her ex-husband, Ahmed Nur Said Elmi, who is believed to be her brother.

U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia Jeanine Pirro filed a motion Wednesday to prevent the federal search warrant for the congresswoman’s home from being unsealed, which has been requested by several media outlets. If it is proven in court that the congresswoman was not using her “real name,” all the forms she filled out could be investigated, a former federal immigration judge in Minnesota said.
Omar’s spokesperson has repeatedly denied the claim, telling Fox News Digital on Thursday that reports that his name was “Ilhan Nur Said Elmi” were “completely false” and then launched an attack on Fox News. The spokesperson also denied that Omar was married to her brother, calling the claims a “disgusting conspiracy theory.”
