In airports, secret bars promise an escape. If you can find them.
At Denver International Airport, travelers looking for a cocktail bar near gate A38 should first find a bookstore.
The facade is part of Williams & Graham, an airport outpost of Denver’s speakeasy, known for hiding its original bar behind a bookcase. The airport version takes the concept to the terminal: Passengers enter through the pint-sized storefront, then pass through a library into a darker, more intimate bar that seems deliberately distanced from the outer concourse.
