Jack Campbell Injury Updates: Detroit Lions LB Taken to Hospital
The Detroit Lions’ Week 8 game against the Minnesota Vikings came to a screeching halt after the first play of the fourth quarter, when the Lions’ All-Pro linebacker appeared to limp when confronting Vikings tight end TJ Hockenson. During the play, Campbell appeared to lean back awkwardly.
Campbell remained on the ground for more than five minutes while medics attended to him, before taking him out on a stretcher with his head supported and all of his extremities. There was no immediate update on Campbell’s status from the team, and we will update this post as we get information on Campbell’s status.
UPDATE: The Lions announced that Campbell was transported to a local hospital.
Campbell is obviously one of the Lions’ most important players, as he is an All Pro and receives a big four-year, $81 million extension this offseason.
While we wait for an update, if you’re the type to pray or wish well, the entire Campbell family could use your thoughts.
