Jack Smith lets a t-shirt expose his true feelings for Trump
MAGA antagonist Jack Smith wore his heart on his sleeve at a pro-democracy music festival this weekend.
No longer employed by the Justice Department, the former special counsel appeared to make his feelings about President Donald Trump clear by wearing a “No Kings” shirt at the “Power to the People” mega-concert in Maryland on Saturday.
The words on the shirt were clearly more than a slogan for Smith, who has been one of the president’s most hated enemies since he was tapped to investigate his efforts to overturn the 2020 election and the January 6, 2021, riots that followed.
While he mostly mingled with the rest of the crowd at the get-out-the-vote event, Smith seemed happy to shake hands and take selfies with spectators who approached him.

The former federal prosecutor appears to have received a special mention from Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl, who dedicated the group’s performance of “My Hero” to “my new friend Jack.”
Grohl also gave a nod to an odd moment from Smith’s recent stay in Washington, D.C., with his own wardrobe, taking the stage in a shirt with a University of Iowa Hawkeyes crest.

The team’s name was at the center of a humiliating confusion as Republican Sen. Eric Schmitt (Mo.) questioned Smith during a Senate hearing Tuesday.
Thinking he had found a smoking gun to support the conspiracy theory that Smith and Fulton County, Georgia District Attorney Fani Willis colluded in their parallel investigations into Trump’s election interference, Schmitt rejoiced in text messages that, in his mind, proved Smith was in Atlanta in February 2024.
The only problem? The senator had based his entire case on evidence that Smith had attended an Atlanta Hawks NBA game, while he was nearly 600 miles away watching the Hawkeyes women’s basketball team play the University of Maryland.
