Janet Jackson Makes Rare Public Appearance in ‘Naughty’ Outfit in the Best Way
Ms. Jackson entered the building.
Pop icon Janet Jackson, 60, stepped out for a rare public appearance at the Dancers Against Cancer All-Star Gala on Oct. 22 in Beverly Hills. Jackson, who presented an award to rapper Missy Elliott later in the evening, closed the red carpet with her absolutely wicked look.
“Janet is ageless! This dress is beautiful!” » wrote one social media user on the Threads platform.

Jackson’s ensemble included a custom black lace Christian Siriano gown. The dress featured long sleeves and a peplum skirt around the hips. She completed the look with a sleek slicked back outfit.
The look received praise across the internet, including from a few style icons in their own right.

“Major,” celebrity stylist Law Roach captioned a photo of the pop god.
Jackson’s appearance was part of a star-studded event aimed at raising money to help dancers, choreographers and their families in their fight against cancer. The event, hosted by “Dancing With The Stars” alum Maksim Chmerkovskiy, honored a number of dance greats, including Toni Basil, Hilaria Baldwin, Vincent Paterson and the late Chita Rivera.
Jackson introduced honoree Missy Elliott before presenting the “Work It” rapper with the Icon Award. In his heartfelt speech, Jackson described the rapper, long known for his imaginative dance routines in his music videos and performances, as someone who “elevated choreography, embraced individuality and inspired generations of dancers to dream bigger.”
“This influence goes far beyond a single song or performance,” Jackson said in his speech, which received tremendous applause. “It lives in every artist who feels a little braver because Missy showed them what was possible.”

Elliott then shared a heartfelt message about his friend Jackson.
“Dear @janetjackson, we’ve been friends for over two decades, and I’m still one of your BIGGEST fans! Sure, I’m a fan of your music, BUT I’m the biggest fan of YOU, the PERSON!” Elliott wrote in the emotional Instagram post. “With all that you have done on a global scale, you have NEVER been the loudest in the room, but those in the room know that you are MOTHA! Your selflessness and humility should be studied! Your beauty on the outside matches that on the inside!
Elliott concluded by expressing his love for Jackson.
“I love you, j, and thank you for this award, it’s the best feeling to receive an ICON award from an ICON!” she wrote.
