Jay-Z’s Special Guests in Los Angeles: Blue Ivy, John Legend and More
Even though Jay-Z’s guest list who joined him on stage during his SoFi Stadium kickoff wasn’t as huge as his Yankee Stadium run, surprise appearances still helped make the show shine during his highly anticipated comeback tour in Los Angeles on Friday (Oct. 23).
His two-night engagement in SoFi is part of JAY-Z30, which celebrates 30 years since the release of his classic debut album. Reasonable doubt.
Jay’s daughter Blue Ivy was in the house, as well as Scarface, DJ Khaled and John Legend.
Blue Ivy was on the keys for “The Story of OJ” (from 4:44) and “Dead Presidents” (Reasonable doubt) on the 33-song setlist.

Scarface took the stage with Jay on “This Can’t Be Life” (The Dynasty: Roc La Familia) and “Mind Playing Tricks on Me” by the Geto Boys (We can’t be stopped).
It all ended with “God Did” (from DJ Khaled’s album of the same name), featuring DJ Khaled and John Legend on stage with the Brooklyn rap legend.
Kelly Rowland, Michelle Williams, G-Eazy, Tia Mowry and Omari Hardwick were among the familiar faces in attendance Friday night. Jay-Z is back on stage for the second night on Saturday.
Discussions swirled earlier in the week about the rumor that Jay-Z would recommend himself as a headliner for next year’s Super Bowl LXI Halftime Show, which will also take place at SoFi Stadium. If he headlines halftime of the big game, it will be his first time on the Super Bowl stage in a career that spans more than 30 years. As of Saturday afternoon, the speculation was still unconfirmed.
His weekend of concerts in Los Angeles follows a star-studded trio in New York in July – where he welcomed Beyoncé, Rihanna, Emimem, Alicia Keys, Nas and more to the stage – and in Paris and London. In September he published his JAY-Z in 8 docuseries with Rick Rubin on HBO Max.
