U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro revealed Tuesday that her office is investigating Rep. Ilhan Omar’s financial disclosures, opening a new chapter in the controversy surrounding the Minnesota Democrat’s previously reported multimillion-dollar assets.
Speaking on Fox News’ “America Reports,” Pirro said his office was reviewing Omar’s financial disclosures, which previously showed the reported value of businesses linked to her husband, Tim Mynett, had fallen from $51,000 in 2023 to $30 million in 2024.
The latest development comes a day after federal agents searched Omar’s Washington, D.C., home as part of an ongoing criminal investigation into his immigration documents, two sources familiar with the investigation told Fox News Digital.
The Department of Justice confirmed that Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) agents executed a court-authorized search warrant Monday as part of an ongoing federal criminal investigation. It remains unclear whether the search is in any way related to the financial disclosure investigation described by Pirro.

The revelations caught the attention of congressional Republicans, including House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer, R-Ky., who requested the financial records of two Mynett-related companies in February.
The original documents, reviewed by Fox News Digital earlier this year, showed millions of dollars in newly declared assets associated with two of Mynett’s business ventures: a California-based winery and a Washington, D.C.-based venture capital firm.

The winery, eStCru LLC, saw its reported valuation increase from a reported value between $15,000 and $50,000 in 2023 to between $1 million and $5 million in 2024. Rose Lake Capital LLC showed an even steeper increase, going from a reported value between $1 million and $1,000 in 2023 to between $5 million and $25 million the following year.
Together, the companies had reported values ranging from about $15,000 to $51,000 in 2023, compared to between $6 million and $30 million in 2024.
Financial disclosure forms list assets in broad ranges rather than exact dollar amounts, meaning the documents don’t establish the couple’s precise net worth.
In February, Comer requested documents and communications relating to the finances of eStCru LLC and Rose Lake Capital LLC, raising questions about the dramatic increase in their reported valuations.
Omar then changed his financial disclosures in April, reducing the couple’s reported combined assets to between $18,004 and $95,000. The revised filing indicated that her husband’s two businesses had no net worth after accounting for liabilities.
Omar’s office said at the time that the initial disclosures failed to properly account for debts associated with her husband’s businesses, creating what it described as a misleading picture of the couple’s finances.
The MP has repeatedly stated that she is not a millionaire.

In September, the Office of Congressional Conduct voted 5-1 to recommend that the House Ethics Committee reject allegations of misconduct stemming from the financial disclosures.
The congressional watchdog found there was no substantial reason to believe that Omar reported false or incomplete information in violation of federal law or House rules.
Omar’s office called the findings vindication, saying the congresswoman did nothing wrong.
The congressional watchdog’s review is separate from the federal investigation outlined by Pirro on Tuesday.
Omar’s most recent annual financial disclosure, filed in May, listed assets totaling between about $20,000 and $125,000, according to a Minnesota Star Tribune analysis. The filing also noted student loan and credit card debt associated with her husband.
