Jennifer Garner posed with former Alias co-star and ex-boyfriend Michael Vartan in a rare social media photo.
Garner took to Instagram on Wednesday to mark the spy series’ 25th anniversary with a video montage — and among the photos was a selfie with Vartan.
In the image, Garner — dressed in a black top — wrapped her arm around Vartan, who matched her vibe in a casual button-down top with a cap and glasses.
The montage also showed clips from the show, as well as a voiceover in which Garner said she was “so proud” to have been a part of the show and called her castmates and crew her “whole world.”
“All these years later, we were together,” she exclaimed in the clip, which also included flirty snaps with director JJ Abrams, Victor Garber, Ron Rifkin and Merrin Dungey.
Garner, now 54, added: “We’re a small group that’s been around for 25 years.”
The “13 Going on 30” star also marveled at landing the role to begin with, noting that before the role, “No one had thought of” her for “action” or for “a difficult role.”
“I walked differently after performing in Sydney,” she said in voiceover. She captioned the nostalgic clip: “Happy 25, AKA ♥️”
Dungey – who played “Francie” Calfo opposite Garner’s Sydney Bristow, responded in the comments thread: “I love you forever and I promise to never beat you in our apartment again.” ❤️ »
One fan wrote, “Truly one of the best TV pilots of all time, and the season ending cliffhangers were next level ❤️❤️❤️,” while another joked, “Okay, fine. I’m going to watch ALIAS again.”
ABC’s hit spy thriller ran from 2001 to 2006 – Garner and Vartan dated from 2003 to 2004, before her 2005 marriage to Ben Affleck.
The actress went on to welcome children Violet, 20, Seraphina, 17, and Samuel, 12, before divorcing Affleck in 2018.
Vartan, meanwhile, married Lauren Skaar before splitting in 2014.
But Garner and Vartan – who played Michael Vaughn on the show – have clearly remained friendly over the years.
In a 2023 Instagram post, Garner paid tribute to her former boyfriend and co-star on his 55th birthday.
“I don’t remember why I was Bavarian,” she captioned a photo of herself on the show wearing a dirndl, “but I know today is your birthday.”
“I hope it’s great, Michael! XX S. Bristow,” she concluded.
