Jennifer Lawrence says she faced an unapproved crew who showed up for her nude scene
Jennifer Lawrence said she took a stand after discovering random, unauthorized crew members were on set while she was filming a nude scene.
The Oscar winner recalled the unspecified movie incident on Wednesday’s episode of the “Call Her Daddy” podcast.
“There was like one instance on set where crew members who weren’t approved when I was doing nudity were on set,” Lawrence told host Alex Cooper. “I’ve been harsh on that point simply because if we don’t establish that kind of principle at the level that we do now, then what’s going to happen to an unknown 18-year-old?”
The “Hunger Games” star noted that similar violations could push future actresses to push their personal boundaries.
“If (a young actress) shows up and there are people who aren’t approved, she’s going to find herself in a position like, ‘Do I say something and get a reputation for being difficult?’ Or do I just let these people I’m not comfortable with see me naked?”
Lawrence added: “So it was important for me to explain to people why it wasn’t OK. »
She recounted the incident after Cooper asked her if she had become more comfortable speaking out in her Hollywood career.

“You have to be malleable. It’s part of the job…” Lawrence replied, adding that she speaks out more today because she is “aware of the place I have in the industry.”
On the “Las Culturistas” podcast last year, Lawrence said she didn’t care about nudity and wasn’t “sensitive” about it when discussing her role in 2025’s “Die My Love” alongside Robert Pattinson.
The actress also revealed why she chose not to hire an intimacy coordinator while filming the film’s sex scenes with Pattinson.
“We didn’t have (an intimacy coordinator), or maybe we did, but we didn’t really have one…I felt really safe with Rob,” Lawrence said at the time. “He is not perverted and very much in love with (fiancé) Suki Waterhouse.”
She added: “There was never any weirdness like, ‘Does he think I like him?’ If there was any of that, I’d probably have an intimacy coordinator. A lot of male actors get offended if you don’t want to fuck them, and then the punishment begins. He wasn’t like that.
