Cardinals running back Jeremiah Love’s return to the lineup Sunday ended prematurely.
Love left the game with an ankle injury late in the first half and did not return. Love had missed the previous two games with an ankle injury, but head coach Mike LaFleur said Monday that was not a worsening of the problem.
“It’s new,” LaFleur said during his press conference.
LaFleur said he would have more information on the severity of the injury and Love’s outlook on Wednesday. Love had nine carries for 23 yards before leaving the game.
The Cardinals also saw Bam Knight go down with a concussion, but Tyler Allgeier broke away for 147 yards and a touchdown on 11 carries after taking over.
