Jesse Minter on Lamar Jackson: Plenty of time between now and Sunday
Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson did not practice Wednesday due to a hamstring injury. left doubt as to whether he will play against the Falcons this Sunday, but head coach Jesse Minter isn’t ruling him out just yet.
Minter said he wasn’t worried about Jackson being ready to play because of the missed practice time and that the team wouldn’t rush to make a decision until it sees how he responds to treatment in the coming days.
“It’s Wednesday. There’s a lot of time by Sunday,” Minter said. “To Lamar’s credit, he’s getting a lot of treatment and doing things. There will be a point later in the week where we’ll kind of know where we stand. . . . When he’s ready to play, he’ll be ready to play.
Tyler Huntley will get the start for Baltimore if Jackson doesn’t play. He went 8 of 9 for 63 yards in the second half of last Sunday’s win over the Titans.
