Jessica Biel revealed that her eldest son didn’t approve of a particular look.
In his new film Matchbox: the filmPremiering Friday on Apple TV, Biel wears a plunging emerald green dress for one scene, and she revealed that her son Silas, 11, was disgusted by the outfit. Biel and her husband Justin Timberlake also share a 6-year-old child, Phineas.
“My son, Silas, was very concerned about the green dress,” she told PEOPLE at the film’s world premiere in New York on Monday. “He said to me, ‘What are you wearing, mom? Ugh.'”
Biel admitted that she was somewhat worried about how her children saw her in a completely different light.
“I was like, ‘Oh my God, this is intense for them to see this dress,'” she said.
Still, Biel was excited to bring her children to the box of matches set them up and introduce them to their hero John Cena. While her youngest child sometimes had difficulty differentiating the fantasy world from reality, Silas was excited to get in on the (fake) action.
“He plays a small role in the movie at the very end, which is really cute,” she told E! News Monday.

And as for whether Silas will continue to follow in his mother’s footsteps, Biel said he’s currently exploring various creative interests. In fact, he also exploits his musical side, taking inspiration from his father.
“He’s a DJ, so he’s kind of interested in both avenues,” she continued. “We just let him take his time and see what happens and what really interests him.”
