Jordan Klepper says Obama set a trap and Trump fell into it
Klepper aired dueling supercuts featuring two very different lines of attack after Obama suggested at a 2026 midterm campaign rally that Trump’s renovations now “make the White House look like Saddam Hussein opened a cheesecake factory.”
In one montage, personalities accused Obama of attacking American workers, while in the other, they claimed the restaurant chain was actually “some kind of fantasy.”
“Oh. Guys, listen, I wanted to be mad at you, but I have to say, now I’m just confused,” Klepper said. “The Cheesecake Factory can’t be a humble yet upscale restaurant for working-class, slash, 1% billionaires who hang out with members of the Illuminati paycheck to paycheck. It just doesn’t make sense.”
“Look, I know you’re trying to start a new cycle of culture war outrage, but you’re not on the same page here,” he added.
Klepper later returned to Obama’s initial criticism that Trump was “obsessed with renovating homes” and suggested the current president didn’t “want to fall into his trap.”
But he followed that with a montage of Trump bragging at length about how he managed to dominate the White House.
“I think you fell into the trap,” Klepper said. “I will say it’s refreshing to hear Donald Trump talk about something he actually has a working knowledge of.”
