A federal judge has extended his order restoring White House press credentials to reporters at three news organizations. President Donald Trump sought to ban their reporting.

U.S. District Judge Timothy Kelly on Tuesday issued a preliminary injunction giving POLITICO, CNN and MS NOW continued access to the White House complex while the litigation plays out.

Kellyappointed by Trump, said the president’s mass reversal of strict passes for nearly 80 journalists likely violated due process because Asset failed to warn media outlets in advance that concerns over their reporting could jeopardize access to the White House.

Kelly also said Trump’s Often-expressed grievances about the three news outlets’ reporting reinforced the court’s conclusion that the ban likely amounted to “retaliation” and “viewpoint discrimination” in violation of the First Amendment.
