As for whether Alabama will self-search or schedule a game for LSU during the bye week: “Earlier, right now, there’s still – the guys are working today, they’re practicing tomorrow. We’ll practice Wednesday, Thursday. It’s fall break for us, so Thursday and Friday they don’t have classes. We’ll try to give them some (rest) time at the end of the week Friday and Saturday, and we’ll be back on the field for practice Sunday. With what we have today, self-scouting is done in a snapping your fingers to get the information and then it’s a matter of sorting and going through it all. We have a lot of staff who have spent a lot of time doing that.”
On what he learned about the team and what needs to change: “I’m proud of the way the guys worked over the last two weeks. They responded with work in practice that counts. They understand what matters. They kept it simple and didn’t overthink things and didn’t get back into routine. When it came to moments like we had Saturday where the guys had to step up – next man up – they did. We were down early in the fourth quarter, but the guys just kept playing, playing team football and to do what they could to help us win.”
