The actors, who have been married for 13 years and share two children, appeared together on Monday’s episode of Shepard’s. Armchair expert podcast. Bell was joined by her Nobody wants that costars Adam Brody, Justine Lupe and Timothy Simons to discuss the hit Netflix show when the conversation turned to the perils of Valentine’s Day pageantry.
“We had an incident on Valentine’s Day this year, and it was the hardest. It was the most pain I’ve felt in a decade,” Shepard managed to share, discomfort visible on his face. “We had a little girl who had a Valentine, and then this Valentine didn’t really recognize him all day, and she had done so much. I was like, ‘I’m going to kill that bastard,'” Shepard laughed.
Bell then noted, “I had to lock the doors from the outside with the key just to make sure Dax didn’t knock on the little boy’s door that night.”

Shepard reasoned out loud, “I was like, ‘Are you kidding me, friend? Do you know what you have there in the meantime? She’s the number one girl in America.'” But ultimately, he explained how he saw both sides of the situation. “I realized that the next time I was in class and I was looking at this little jerk, I was like, ‘Oh yeah, boys don’t know what’s going on.'”
Bell agreed: “He completely forgot it was that day.” »
Shepard’s co-host Monica Padman added that the debacle proved to her how this Shepard and Bell daughter “is so your daughter,” explaining, “A week later, I was like, ‘I’m so sorry for what happened.’ She said, ‘Oh, it’s okay.’ He didn’t think so. She immediately knew it wasn’t personal. I was like, “How are you, 11, and can you do this?” »
