Lamar Jackson reportedly ‘week to week’ awaiting MRI
Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson left Sunday’s 24-18 win over the Titans after injuring his ankle late in the first half. And while its status has been described elsewhere as “day-to-day,” it’s currently believed to be week-to-week, we’re told.
Jackson left the stadium wearing a walking boot.
The final prognosis depends on an MRI, which will reveal the extent of ligament damage.
Ravens coach Jesse Minter downplayed the situation during his postgame press conference.
“Yeah, he was just hurting a little bit on one ankle, we hope,” Minter told reporters of the two-time NFL MVP. “I don’t know enough right now. But we’ll have to see where it goes. But again, I thought Snoop (Huntley) came in and ran the operation in a way that allowed us to get the win, which is the most important thing. And so we’ll see where it goes.”
Minter also acknowledged that “there have been discussions” about Jackson returning to the game if necessary.
Once again, the MRI will be crucial. The 3-1 Ravens will face the 1-2 Falcons in Atlanta next Sunday night.
