JACKSONVILLE, Florida. – The last Hooters restaurant in Jacksonville has closed permanently.
The only location on San Jose Boulevard, at Baymeadows Road, posted a sign on the shuttered building’s doors that read, “Unfortunately, we have closed permanently.” »
Although the exact date of the closure is unknown, an orange public health and safety notice also posted on the building was dated September 29.
As of Friday, the location was still listed on the company’s website.
On September 24, the establishment posted a new menu item on Instagram, but it’s unclear why it abruptly stopped.
The franchise filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy in March 2025 to focus on restructuring the business, which included closing several locations in Florida and other states.
