MacArthur Foundation Names 20 “Genius Grant” Recipients

Twenty artists, scientists and historians have been selected for the 2026 John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation Fellowships, which award each recipient $800,000 in quarterly payments over a five-year period. These awards are commonly referred to as “genius grants.”
