macOS 27.3 includes a cool-looking “Pro” screensaver from the new touchscreen MacBook Pro

The current macOS 27.3 Beta 1 release includes a stunning screensaver featuring an animated version of the new MacBook Pro with the PROLED XDR Display wallpaper. Watch it below.

The new MacBook Pro wallpaper is also a screensaver

As with most new Macs, Apple has designed a striking-looking wallpaper to mark the launch of the new MacBook Pro.

Continuing its tradition of incorporating product names into its wallpapers, the new design features a series of flowing, metallic-looking lines that spell out the word “PRO.”

Unsurprisingly, the design has also proven to be a source of contention, with some users saying it reminds them of a broken, faulty screen. Admittedly, the timing is particularly unfortunate, given recent reports of display issues affecting the iPhone Duo.

That said, today’s macOS 27.3 beta includes a screensaver version of the wallpaper, called Pro Light, where light slowly moves along metallic-looking lines, illuminating different parts of the “PRO” lettering while others disappear into darkness.
