Mamdani orders review of police use of force, angering critics and supporters

NEW YORK — Mayor Zohran Mamdani (D-) said Monday that the nation’s largest local police department will review its use of force policies, plunging the city deeper into the national debate over how law enforcement officials protect themselves and the public.
