Officers were called to the 76 Gas Station at 351 Broad St. at 5:52 a.m. Oct. 13 for a reported shooting.

According to a Seattle police probable cause statement, officers found Dobbeck unconscious behind the counter. Seattle Fire Department medics pronounced him dead at the scene. The release said a medical examiner previously found multiple gunshot wounds to Dobbeck’s head, face and chest.

Police said security video showed a person entering the store, bringing a drink to the counter, then firing at least four shots at Dobbeck at point-blank range. The person then left the store. Court documents say there was no evidence of theft or prior conflict.

Dobbeck had been the manager of station 76 for more than two years.

Investigators identified Oneal Fleming as the suspect based on the video, similarities in his appearance and gait, as well as identifications made by the store owner and another employee. Police said Oneal Fleming worked at the station and resigned weeks before the shooting.

The homeowner told detectives he was not aware of any dispute involving Oneal Fleming and Dobbeck.

Court documents indicate that Oneal Fleming’s mother and stepfather were recently murdered and that Oneal Fleming’s brother said he had been delusional and erratic in his recent communications.

According to the King County Prosecutor’s Office, Oneal Fleming’s whereabouts are currently unknown and he may have traveled to Chicago.

However, on Tuesday around 7 a.m. PT, the Kenosha, Wisconsin Police Department issued a similar public safety notification regarding Oneal Fleming. Kenosha police said Oneal Fleming was last seen in the northwest part of the city.

SPD and Kenosha said Michael Oneal Fleming is believed to be armed and dangerous. Police said anyone who sees him should call 911 and not approach him.

Anyone with information is asked to call 911. Tips can also be reported to the Seattle Police Department’s violent crime tip line at (206) 233-5000.
