Margaret Qualley and Jack Antonoff file for divorce after 3 years of marriage
Margaret Qualley and Jack Antonoff divorce after three years of marriage, court records obtained by The Associated Press showing that a divorce petition was filed on Friday.
A source said People magazine that the separation is “a mutual decision”, adding: “They share a deep affinity and love for each other, and even though their romantic relationship is coming to an end, they will certainly be friends for life.”
Representatives for Qualley did not immediately respond. The Hollywood Reporter request for comment.
Although the divorce filing is recent, the couple reportedly separated in July. At the time, a representative for Qualley confirmed the split to People and fended off speculation surrounding their split.
“The stories circulating in the press about Margaret and Jack are categorically false. There are no trust issues. There has been no infidelity or anything outside of respect and partnership in this relationship,” the actress’ spokesperson said in a statement.
Earlier this week, the Bleachers frontman opened up about his songs being inspired by his former relationship with The Guardian. He said he was initially “worried” about performing the songs discussed, but now saw it differently.
“It was actually really beautiful,” Antonoff said.
“For the songs I wrote recently, I was obviously very worried about this specific thing,” he added. “I sat long and hard with this and thought, ‘If I change the setlist…’ and in my gut there was a unanimous jury that said, ‘No, this is the deal. The deal I made with my audience is that I’m going to tell you honestly how I feel and I’m going to risk at any moment having to support them forever.'”
