Martha Stewart is facing backlash after apparently dressing up as a homeless person for Halloween.

The lifestyle guru reportedly shared – and quickly deleted – a photo of herself wearing tattered clothes, with dirt on her face, while holding a sign begging for food.

“I’M HUNGRY, HELP ME!” » the sign read on his Instagram photo.

The controversial snap appears to have been included in an Instagram carousel promoting the candles Stewart sells on QVC.

“My QVC candles are perfect for Halloween!!!” the multi-millionaire businesswoman, 85, captioned the post.

However, the photo was deleted shortly after it was shared – but not before eagle-eyed social media users took screenshots.

The since-deleted image was later circulated on Reddit, where critics slammed Stewart for seemingly taking homelessness lightly.

Several users called the costume “offensive,” “disgusting” and “out of touch with reality.”

Others took issue with the fact that Stewart, whose net worth is estimated at $400 million, seemed to mock people struggling with poverty.

It’s still unclear why the cookbook author deleted the photo or if she wanted the outfit to depict a homeless person.

Page Six reached out to Stewart’s rep for comment but did not immediately receive a response.

The controversy comes as Stewart continues to embrace her longtime love of Halloween.

Over the years, the domestic doyenne became known for her elaborate costumes, transforming into everything from Queen Elizabeth I to a glamorous witch.

Stewart also made headlines for her close friendship with Snoop Dogg, with whom she frequently celebrated the spooky holiday.

Despite his reputation for going all out for Halloween, his latest costume seems to have left some fans less than impressed.
