Marvel’s ‘Zodiac’ Plans 2028 Release on Disney+ as New Details Revealed
Marvel Television has revealed the first logo for its new series “Zodiac,” a live-action spy thriller slated for release in 2028.
Filming on the series will begin in London in the spring, Marvel Television chief Brad Winderbaum said during his panel at New York Comic-Con, with casting beginning in “the next couple of weeks.”
No additional details were immediately available.
“Zodiac” is the first new live-action show announced for Marvel since last year’s “Ironheart.” While the MCU has seen huge success on the big screen with “Spider-Man: Brand New Day” breaking box office records, the television universe has seen some popular shows come to an end.
Just months after its January premiere, “Wonder Man” was canceled — although it was renewed for a second season and earned an Emmy nomination for lead actor Yahya Abdul-Mateen II. The series received critical acclaim and made Abdul-Mateen II the first live-action actor to receive an Emmy nod for a Marvel and DC series after starring in HBO’s “Watchmen.”
Then, it was revealed that “Daredevil: Born Again” would end with next year’s season 3. The series revived Charlie Cox’s popular hero after his debut in Netflix’s “Daredevil” series. Season 3 is shaping up to be a highly anticipated reunion for the heroes of Netflix’s “Defenders,” including Krysten Ritter as Jessica Jones, Mike Colter as Luke Cage and Finn Jones as Iron First.
“VisionQuest” is set to premiere on October 14 and will cap off the trilogy of series that began with “WandaVision” and then “Agatha All Along.” After starring in “WandaVision,” Paul Bettany returns as the robot Vision, who hides and communicates with other animated AI androids, like Ultron, JARVIS, FRIDAY and more.
