
Massachusetts man accused of cyberstalking campaign against Katie Miller
A Massachusetts man was charged Thursday with cyberstalking for a harassment campaign targeting Katie Millerformer Trump administration official and wife of senior White House adviser Stephen Miller.
John Anthony Proia III allegedly called and texted Katie Miller at least 40 times since August with hostile messages referring to her and her husband – an architect of the president that of Donald Trump immigration crackdown, according to court documents.
Documents filed in federal court in Boston and a Justice Department press release did not mention the Millersbut the target of the alleged campaign was confirmed to POLITICO by a law enforcement official briefed on the matter and granted anonymity to discuss it.
His arrest by the FBI’s Joint Terrorism Task Force comes amid growing concern about political violence and harassment in a polarized nation.
