October 1 marked the 30th anniversary of the release of Matchbox’s breakthrough album Twenty. You or someone like you. The album, which included hits such as “Real World,” “3AM,” “Push” and “Back 2 Good,” helped propel the Rob Thomas-led band to the top of the charts and become one of the biggest post-grunge rock bands of the era.

Now, the group will spend the next few months celebrating its 30th anniversary. The festivities kicked off on October 12 with a sold-out show at the Fonda Theater in Los Angeles, followed by an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live!
In May, a 52-date tour promoted by Live Nation will officially kick off at the Coca-Cola Amphitheater in Birmingham, Alabama, and includes stops at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles and the Moody Center in Austin, Texas.
The Matchbox Twenty lineup remains Thomas, Kyle Cook, Paul Doucette and Brian Yale. The Grammy-nominated group has sold more than 40 million records, according to Atlantic Records, also featuring hits like “Bent,” “If You’re Gone” and “Unwell.”
Fans can sign up for the October 20 presale here, while a presale through Reserved by Spotify begins the same day. Tickets will go on sale to the general public from Friday (October 23).
Openers include The All-American Rejects, The Wallflowers, David Gray, OAR, Matt Nathanson and The Lucky.
