Maxx Crosby says Patrick Mahomes groans when he gets tackled
Las Vegas Raiders star Maxx Crosby is no stranger to confronting Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes.
Crosby has 6.5 sacks and 49 quarterback pressures against Mahomes in his career. Therefore, he is more qualified than anyone to mention how Mahomes reacts when tackled.
On Tuesday’s episode of his podcast, “The Rush,” Crosby gave some insight into what it means to put pressure on the two-time MVP.
“Pat, (we) went back and forth the whole game. I felt like we reached out to him a few times. We had our conversations, but we had ultimate respect with him. He knows that,” Crosby said.
Crosby’s co-host Brogan Roback then asked about his interactions with Mahomes during the game.
“It started early. We were very close to each other, physically, from the start. I had some good hits on him. It’s just funny, every time I hit him, he turns around and he looks at me, just to see. And I’m always in his face, looking at him,” Crosby said.
Crosby then talked about the frustrating experience of tackling Mahomes right after he got a pass.
“Does Mahomes make any noise when you tackle him? » asked Roback.
“I don’t know,” Crosby said. He then imitated an “Ugh!” it visibly sounds like a moan.
“A moan? Don’t say moan, but don’t say that word,” Roback said then.
“There’s no other word! But yes,” Crosby said with a laugh.
Mahomes may have to find an answer to Crosby’s whining allegations.
