Mia Goth seeks sole custody of her and Shia LaBeouf’s daughter amid divorce

Mia Goth has filed for custody of her and Shia LaBeouf’s daughter amid their split.

THE X The actress is seeking sole legal and physical custody of 4-year-old Isabel Goth LaBeouf, according to court documents obtained by Weekly Entertainment. She also asks that visitation time be granted to LaBeouf.

The custody documents are part of Goth’s divorce filings, which were made public Wednesday. Goth listed the ex-couple’s separation date as July 28, 2025, and cited the reason as “irreconcilable differences.”

EW has reached out to representatives for Goth and LaBeouf for comment.

Goth and LaBeouf have had an on-and-off relationship for over a decade. They started dating after meeting on the set of Lars von Trier’s film. Nymphomaniac in 2012. The couple married in 2016, before first filing for divorce in 2018. LaBeouf then had a tumultuous relationship with musician FKA Twigs that year, which she later called “the worst thing I’ve ever experienced in my entire life.” Twigs continued Transformers actor in 2020 for sexual assault, assault and emotional distress, and the two sides settled out of court last year.

Meanwhile, Goth and LaBeouf appeared to have reconciled in 2020, publicly flaunting their wedding rings again (although LaBeouf was linked to Margaret Qualley later that year). THE Pearl the star and the Even Stevens former student welcomed daughter Isabel in 2022.

Earlier this year, it was reported that Goth and LaBeouf had split again, with a source telling PEOPLE that she “encouraged” him to move out. In her recent court filings, Goth said Isabel had been living with her since the former couple separated.

LaBeouf moved from Los Angeles to New Orleans after the split, according to PEOPLE. The media source also pointed out that the Holes The actor “loves their daughter and keeps in touch.”

“Goth and LaBeouf’s relationship has always been complicated. They didn’t get along and had a lot of drama last year,” the source said in February, shortly after LaBeouf’s arrest in New Orleans. (He pleaded guilty to three misdemeanor charges of battery and was sentenced to two years of probation and a six-month suspended sentence.)

News of Goth’s divorce filing came shortly after LaBeouf settled a lawsuit with FKA Twigs, having voided NDA provisions included in their 2025 settlement.
