Milania Giudice’s legal team takes major step in domestic violence court case after family begs her to ‘get help’

Milania Giudice’s court hearing in her domestic violence case has been postponed for more than two months following her recent airport ordeal, Page Six has exclusively learned.

Teresa Giudice’s 20-year-old daughter was scheduled to appear virtually Tuesday in Montville Township Municipal Court following her May arrest on simple assault charges, but her attorney requested a later date.

We can confirm that the judge in the case granted the request and ordered Milania to return to court on December 1st.

“Without going into detail, I have determined that adjourning the hearing is the appropriate course of action,” his lawyer, Alan Kraminsky, told us.

“I join Milania’s family in respectfully asking everyone to give her the privacy and space she needs.”

Last Wednesday, the University of Tampa student caused a scene at Tampa International Airport that required police to be present.

Airport police spoke with an agitated Milania as well as her worried mother and older sister, Gia Giudice, to try to defuse the situation and get them safely to their gate.

In the harrowing body camera footage, one of the officers was heard telling his colleague that Milania “just got out of a Baker Act facility.” (In Florida, a person can be hospitalized for up to 72 hours for an emergency mental health evaluation under the Baker Act.)

“They actually hired a counselor,” the officer said. When her colleague asked her, “Is she a danger to herself?” the first officer replied, “Yes, that’s why she took Baker Act. They’re trying to get her back to a rehab center.”

He also considered the situation “serious”.

Gia, 25, was seen telling her sister that she wanted her to “get better” and that the police were there to “help” them “take (Milania) to treatment,” but Milania fought back.

“Like, what the fuck? I don’t want to go with you. I have an apartment here. I go to school here. What the fuck? ” she told Gia before muttering, “They put me under a Baker Act. … I’m not trying to control any situation. I’m a fucking king under the protection of my parents, whatever. Lady Gaga shit, Britney Spears shit.”

Milania also yelled at Teresa, who insisted she was “trying to save (Milania’s) life” and needed to “get help.”

At one point, the “Real Housewives of New Jersey” star told police that Milania “had fentanyl in her system,” to which the latter replied, “Because I was stuck.”

The police report on the incident stated that Milania suffered from “mental depression” and “suicidal thoughts.”

On Monday, after the body camera footage surfaced, Teresa, 54, took to her Instagram Story to upload a lengthy statement that read in part: “The last few months have been incredibly difficult for our family, and I think it’s important to say something while protecting my daughter during an extremely vulnerable time in her life.”

“Milania experienced immense grief and psychological trauma after losing two of her best friends. Grief affects everyone differently, and watching your child try to deal with that kind of loss is something no parent can truly prepare for.” (Milania’s friend Victoria Zardoya died in late July, and her great-grandmother died earlier this month.)

The mother of four added that her “only focus” at the moment is to make sure her daughter “is surrounded by the love, family, support and care that she needs.”

Milania was arrested four months ago after she allegedly “knowingly caused bodily injury to another, including striking the victim, LR, in the head with her fist, causing redness to the center of the victim’s forehead, during a domestic dispute” at the home of Teresa and her husband Luis “Louie” Ruelas in New Jersey.

Milania pleaded not guilty but promised to take an anger management course.
