Minor
Minior debuts in Pokémon GO via Minor showersa series of events timed to coincide with real-world meteor showers. The first event takes place from October 19 to 24, 2026with the seven different Core colors of Minior arriving in six events through August 2027.
During each event, you’ll find Minior in the wild in his meteor form and earn extra stardust by catching him. Your best time to watch will be 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. local time dailywhen Minior encounters become more frequent and shooting stars light up the in-game sky.
Minor Showers Event Calendar
Six Minior Showers events are scheduled between October 2026 and August 2027. Each event begins at 5:00 p.m. on the first day and ends at 11:59 p.m. on the last dayat your local time.
Each meteor shower will introduce a different Minior Core color. THE The Geminides event in December will feature two: one exclusive to the northern hemisphere and another exclusive to the southern hemisphere. We don’t yet know what colors these will be.
Minor beginnings
Minor
Minor is a Rock And -type Pokémon, which makes it weak to Electric, Ice, Rock, Steel And Water-type attacks. You will encounter Minior in the wild in his Meteor shape at Minior Showers events and receive increased stardust to catch it. Its seven different Core colors will gradually debut during these events:
- Minor (red core)
- Minor (orange core)
- Minor (yellow nucleus)
- Minor (green core)
- Minor (blue core)
- Miner (Indigo Core)
- Minor (purple core)
During the month of December Geminids Eventtwo Core colors will debut: one exclusive to Northern Hemisphere and another exclusive to Southern Hemisphere. The colors of these regional debuts have not yet been announced.
Minor form change mechanism
Minior will burst into Pokémon GO with an all-new shapeshifting mechanic, changing the way you fight in PvP.
- Minior will fight in his meteor form until his health is reduced to less than 50%when it changes shape and exposes its core.

Initially, Minior will only be able to change form when fighting Team GO Rocket, Team Leaders, or in the GO Battle League.*
*Minors will not be eligible for the 2027 Latin American International Championships.

From 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. local time each day during each Minior Shower, the in-game sky will be lit by shooting stars. You will also have a greater chance of encountering Minior in the wild.
