Missing Beaverton 3-year-old found safe, mother faces charges
BEAVERTON Ore. (KPTV) – A 3-year-old Beaverton boy was found safe after an Amber Alert was issued Wednesday, according to police.
On Wednesday, Beaverton police said 3-year-old Joshua Ovalles was last seen with his non-custodial mother, Mari Martinez.

Investigators say Martinez took Joshua to a babysitter Tuesday morning after a Washington County judge granted temporary custody to his father, citing that Joshua was in “immediate danger” while in Martinez’s unsupervised custody.
Beaverton police reported that Joshua was found unharmed Thursday afternoon after Martinez dropped him off at the home of a trusted friend in Lake Oswego, who then contacted police.
Joshua found his father.
Martinez was found later Thursday afternoon and is being held by Beaverton police on charges of kidnapping and custodial interference.
