Monti Ossenfort on trading Marvin Harrison Jr.: These decisions are never easy
At the end of his press conference Sunday, Texans coach DeMeco Ryans confirmed that his team had acquired wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. in a trade with the Cardinals. The Cardinals announced the trade Monday.
The Cardinals will receive a second-round pick and a seventh-round pick (originally owned by the 49ers) in 2027 in exchange for Harrison and a 2027 sixth-round pick.
The deal is still pending Harrison’s physical.
Managing director Monti Ossenfort addressed the trade in a statement.
“Decisions like this are never easy,” Ossenfort said. “Ultimately, we have to do what’s best for our football team and that will always be the determining factor. We are extremely grateful to Marvin for what he has brought to our organization and wish him the best in his career.”
Harrison, the fourth overall pick in the 2024 draft, finished his career with the Cardinals with 33 games played, 108 receptions, 1,578 yards and 13 touchdowns.
