Motorola Signature 27 specifications confirmed in practice (Video)

Ahead of its launch next week, a new video takes a closer look at the Motorola Signature 27 and confirms some key specs.
A hands-on video from Danny Winget on YouTube offers a closer look at Motorola’s next flagship and only makes its arrival even more enticing.
Several key specifications are mentioned in the video, the most interesting being the “Extreme AMOLED Duo” display which uses Tandem OLED technology. Tandem OLED is not a new idea, with the technology stacking multiple layers of diodes on top of each other to improve contrast and brightness. Tandem OLED can be found on Apple’s new “PROLED” MacBook Pro, as well as 2024’s Honor Magic 6 RSR. But Motorola’s use of it in the Signature 27 is certainly nice to see, especially considering the other shared specs. 12,000 nits of brightness. This rather insane figure is apparently the maximum brightness of this new flagship.
The hardware photos of the phone also show the textured backs of both color variants as well as the curved glass around the display.

Other specs shared in the video include:
- 6.8-inch Extreme AMOLED Duo Display, 120Hz, LTPO, Tandem OLED, 12,000 nits peak brightness
- Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6
- 16 GB of RAM
- Up to 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage
- Android 17 with 7 years of OS updates
- Cameras: 50MP Lytia 910 main, 200MP periscope telephoto lens, 50MP ultra-wide, “dedicated action sensor” for motion capture enhancements
Battery capacity isn’t revealed, but Winget says it’s “significant.” Likewise, the vapor chamber is described as “40% larger”, but no point of comparison was given.
All of this is shaping up to be a powerful flagship in every sense of the word. Motorola has confirmed that the Signature 27 will launch on November 5, and I don’t know about you, but I’m getting more and more excited.
