“Mythic Achievements” now available for Xbox Insiders

“Mythical Achievements” are now available to Xbox Insiders, which are awarded for completing all of a game’s original achievements, Xbox announced (27,577 items)” href=”https://www.gematsu.com/platforms/xbox”>Xbox.

While Mythic Achievements don’t add new challenges or Gamerscore, they give players an additional way to show off the games they’ve completed. Legendary Achievements have also been added to some older games, including Xbox 360 (10,000 items)” href=”https://www.gematsu.com/platforms/xbox/xbox-360″>Xbox 360 titles.

Starting today, Xbox Insiders can get a sneak peek at Mythic Achievements, a new way to celebrate the games you’ve completed and the milestones you’ve reached along the way.

Whether you’ve spent years chasing every achievement or are simply proud of the games you’ve completed, Mythic Achievements recognize some of the greatest achievements in your Xbox history.

You earn a Mythic achievement when you complete all of a game’s original achievements. Achievements added later via DLC or updates are not required, and once you achieve Mythic status, you keep it.

And your story stays with you. Mythic achievements have already been added to eligible games you’ve completed in the past, including Xbox 360 titles. So the next time you visit your profile, you may find that some of your favorite games have already reached Mythic status.

Celebrate your story

We make it easy to see and celebrate what you’ve accomplished on Xbox, as well as the challenges ahead.

Your profile now includes a new Games tab, where you can view your achievements, track your next Gamerscore badge, and review the games you’ve completed. Mythic achievements stand out in your achievement history with a heroic frame, making it easy to see how many you’ve already earned.

You can also visit your friends’ Games tabs to see what they’ve accomplished and discover what games they’ve played on Mythic.

When you’re working towards legendary success, we want it to be easy to see what’s left.

A new progress bar at the top of each game’s achievements list shows how close you are to Mythic status, with an option to focus on the original achievements you still need. Achievements added later are clearly labeled as an “add-on” so you always know what matters to Mythic.

You’ll see similar progression information on Xbox, including in guide and achievement details, making it easier to pick up where you left off and continue chasing your next Mythic Achievement.
