New Mexico continues to experience the consequences of flooding and severe weather Monday.

Evacuations and flood warnings remain in effect in San Juan County as rivers continue to rise and remain at high levels.

Power outages were reported across metro Albuquerque, with the eastern mountains hardest hit.

Here’s what we’re tracking today:

Power outages

Power outages continue across New Mexico following severe weather and high winds.

More than 8,000 PNM customers have been without power since Monday morning in Albuquerque’s east mountains.

PNM says the estimated time for restoration is 12:30 p.m. Monday.

Problems on a main power line are causing a massive power outage.

In Otero County, high winds caused more than 2,000 power outages.

San Juan County flooding

Evacuations remain in place for areas within a half mile of the Animas, La Plata and San Juan rivers in San Juan County.

Rivers continue to remain high and rising in the county, prompting evacuation orders.

Those needing shelter due to an evacuation can go to McGee Park in San Juan County.

The following roads were closed in San Juan County due to flooding:

  • Highway 5500 in Lee Acres, over the San Juan River, is closed.
  • US 64 is closed from 511 to Dulce
  • NM 511 is closed
  • Highway 539 (Navajo Lake State Park) is closed from Mile 0 to Mile 5 due to severe flood damage.
  • Highway 3000 is closed east of Pinion Hills.
  • South Church/Calle Del Rio/CR5005/CR5008 in Bloomfield is closed.

Sandbags are available at the following locations:

  • SJCFR Station 62
  • SJCFR Station 42
  • SJCFR Station 11
  • SJCFR Station 24
  • SJCSO Lee Acres Substation
  • Church of the Hills
  • MOC Bloomfield
  • Valley of the Wild Horses
  • Harper Valley
  • This is not a complete list and county officials say it is the best list they currently have.

All San Juan County sewer systems are online. However, the Kirtland and Aztec lift stations were taken offline. Aztec city officials are calling for conservation measures as the sewer system is under pressure.
