Get ready, friends. It’s almost there.
We’ve been waiting for it all year. We suffered from the long, hot summer months. We remained patient, focused and determined. In a few days the calendar will flip to November, and it will be there.

That’s correct.
If you’ve ever wondered how John Madden went from football coach, to broadcaster, to creator of the greatest video game series of all time, you’ll find out in about two weeks.
And for those who can’t wait that long, here’s a little taste of what awaits them:
I just don’t see it
Whoaaaaaaaaaaa Nellie!
Thoughts? First impressions? I’m going to level with everyone here…it’s just a horrible John Madden impression. I’m not sure you can even call this a print? I think it’s just Nicolas Cage… who talks like Nicolas Cage?
It’s truly shocking to watch.

If you made me close my eyes and let me guess a thousand times who was speaking, I would never land on John Madden. Never. I would say it was Nicolas Cage… because it looks like Nicolas Cage.
Die-hard NFL fans, understandably, bury this movie before it even gets off the ground:
It’s an embarrassment to his legacy.
This seems to be the dominant theme on social media today in response to the trailer above. People aren’t thrilled with what they’re seeing — or hearing — and they’re worried it will harm John Madden’s legacy.
It’s a bit dramatic, in my opinion. Let’s not be stupid. But it certainly won’t improve Madden’s legacy among younger generations who didn’t grow up with him.

The question I ask myself is… why? Why didn’t Nicolas Cage even bother trying to look like Madden? There is simply no effort at all. I don’t understand ?
John Madden’s voice is iconic. This is what my generation grew up with. My dad knows Madden as a coach. I know him as the man in the booth who talks about turkey and football at Thanksgiving.
NFL HOLIDAY SCHEDULE THAT INCLUDES FIVE GAMES IS DEFINITELY NOT FROM Türkiye
And it was the best:
See? This is the John Madden I knew. Man, he was the best. The whole world grew up in the late 90s and early 2000s. Turduckens on Thanksgiving, and it was absolutely because of John Madden.
