NFL Picks for PFT Week 9 2026

It all happened Monday evening.

Until Sunday, I had somehow managed to go 13-0 in Week 8 picks. The only thing standing in the way of unprecedented PFT perfection was Monday night – Bears at Seahawks.

And I chose the Seahawks.

I will always take 13-1. And I will continue to try to run the table.

For the year I am now 73-47-1. This represents 60.3 percent.

The goal this week? Don’t fall back to 1-14, with 30 teams in play and the Steelers and Titans out.

Jaguars vs. Ravens (Thursday night)

It’s a trap of a short week for the Jaguars, who managed to avoid falling into the trap in Week 8 against the short-staffed Colts.

Jaguars 27, Ravens 13.

Bengals vs. Falcons (in Madrid)

The Falcons are far too inconsistent to be trusted in any given game, especially against a Bengals team that clicks far more often than it does. Additionally, the mini-Super Bowl atmosphere of an international game will likely push quarterback Joe Burrow to a playoff level of performance.

Bengals 27, Falcons 23.

Broncos at the Panthers

This is a rematch of Super Bowl 50, between a team that is a Super Bowl contender and a team that is not.

Broncos 24, Panthers 16.

Cowboys at Colts

It’s a rematch of Super Bowl V, between a team that knows it’s not a Super Bowl contender and a team that continues to fool itself.

Cowboys 27, Colts 17.

Jets among the chiefs

The Chiefs may play with their food (again) on Sunday, but they’ll end up eating the entire meal.

Chiefs 30, Jets 13.

Lions among the Dolphins

Dolphins should not be taken lightly. The Lions can’t afford that, given the quality of the division they occupy.

Lions 24, Dolphins 10.

Browns among the Saints

The Saints still have a chance to get it right, and they desperately want to avoid starting 0-4 at the Superdome.

Saints 23, Browns 14.

Giants among the Eagles

It’s suddenly the Bizarro NFC East, with the Giants in first place and the Eagles in the basement.

Giants 23, Eagles 13.

Rams at Commanders

The Rams are completely out of the slump at the start of the season.

Rams 27, commanders 19.

Texans at the Chargers

There is reason for hope in Houston. There’s no reason to expect any positive change from the Chargers, who continue to behave like they’re closer to 7-0 than 0-7.

Texans 21, Chargers 7.

Packers at Patriots

Did you hear Tom Brady is coming back to Foxboro? (If you haven’t, we envy you.) The Patriots need to keep pace with the Bills, and the Packers (while good) need Micah Parson back before they have a chance to be great.

Patriots 31, Packers 21.

Cardinals at Seahawks

If the Seahawks suffer a fifth loss before Veterans Day, they will almost certainly stay home on Valentine’s Day.

Seahawks 28, Cardinals 17.

Raiders at 49ers

In a revival of a rivalry so intense they had to stop playing each other in the preseason, the Raiders will make it interesting.

49ers 24, Raiders 20.

Buccaneers at Bears (Sunday evening)

The Bucs have found their formula for winning and they are in position to run away with the NFC South.

Bears 24, Buccaneers 21.

Bills at Vikings (Monday night)

Josh Allen is pretty good at finding holes in Minnesota’s defense before the rush gets to him. And the Vikings offense isn’t good enough to keep up.

Bills 22, Vikings 17.
