We have another action-packed slate of NFL games for Week 5, although it’s missing two teams – the Kansas City Chiefs and Carolina Panthers, who are both on a bye.

The Los Angeles Chargers enter Week 5 in a bit of a pickle, still looking for their first win of the season but with a number of weapons on offense. Starting receiver Ladd McConkey (foot) is active but expected to play limited snaps, while teammate Quentin Johnston is out with a chest injury. Both of Los Angeles’ starting offensive tackles are also out for this contest, after Rashawn Slater was placed on IR and Joe Alt was ruled out with a neck injury. Can they overcome these injuries to get their first win against the Broncos?

The Cardinals will be without WR Marvin Harrison Jr. on Sunday, but not due to injury, having apparently informed him that he will remain out through Week 5 while they try to finalize a trade, moving up from the former No. 4 overall pick. The Texans have been reported to be a team involved in possible trade talks.

Defenses showed up early for the Chargers and Broncos, as neither offense did much.

After Los Angeles punted following a four-play drive to start the second quarter, Denver then went three-and-out. The Broncos sent him straight back to the Chargers.

Washington absolutely missed the game against New York.

In a stupid move, Jayden Daniels went to run the ball. His teammates weren’t on the same page and took off toward the end zone. Washington had no timeouts and the clock was ticking.

Commanders did not recover the ball with enough time to score it, and the match ended in a draw.

Washington was on the 24-yard line, got greedy and made a mistake. The only comfort is that the match ended in a draw and not a defeat, but this one will sting.

After the turnover, Seattle reached the goal line. Backup running back Emanuel Wilson, replacing the injured duo of Jadarian Price and Zach Charbonnet, had a 2-yard touchdown run.

The game is tied with 5:43 left in the first quarter.

The Seahawks looked like they might have to settle for a punt after the 49ers scored.

Seattle punted him back, but then forced a fumble by San Francisco’s punt returner and recovered the ball.

The problem with a struggling kicker is that the coach loses confidence in him in big moments. New York was within field goal range, but continued to play.

The Giants carried Cam Skattebo, but then he fumbled with two minutes left in overtime with the game still tied.

New York rookie kicker Dominic Zvada had a rough day. He missed his third field goal of the day, this time from 46 yards.

All Washington needs to win is a field goal.

Watson and the Browns had won three straight games with a fourth-quarter comeback. It looked like they were in line for another one, but the Jets defense stepped in and stifled Watson.

Part of what makes the Bears-Packers game so exciting is that it’s become clear that head coaches Ben Johnson and Matt LaFleur have a rivalry and may not be each other’s biggest fans.

We’ve seen passionate postgame handshakes in the past, but Sunday’s wasn’t passionate.
