NFLPA issues statement on comments made by linesman Jeff Seeman to Cardinals tight end Trey McBride
During Sunday’s game between the Cardinals and Giants, the CBS camera captured an interaction between linesman Jeff Seeman and Arizona tight end Trey McBride.
We will rely on lip readers in the crowd to perform. We have a feeling Seeman didn’t say “Thank you.” (Twice.)
The moment caught the attention of NFL Players Association executive director JC Tretter.
Said Tretter, in a statement provided to Football night in America before posting it on social media: “This type of behavior from an official toward a player is unacceptable. Players are routinely held accountable when the roles are reversed. We expect the NFL to hold officials to the same standards.”
An NFL spokesperson told PFT the league would look into the matter.
