NFL’s Dasha Smith named CAA COO
Creative Artists Agency is making a major new addition to its C-suite.
The agency hired Dasha Smith as director of operations.
Smith joins CAA from the NFL, where she was executive vice president and chief administrative officer. At the NFL, Smith was a top deputy to Commissioner Roger Goodell, overseeing a broad range of business functions including technology, AI and innovation, data and analytics, strategy and business intelligence, human resources, inclusion, social responsibility and philanthropy, and league office administration.
She will bring this operational experience to CAA where she will work with the agency’s senior management to manage its day-to-day operations.
“Dasha is a remarkably talented, accomplished and energetic leader with a deep understanding of how global organizations operate optimally,” said Bryan Lourd, CAA Co-President and CEO. “We look forward to welcoming him to our senior leadership team and benefiting from his extensive experience helping to guide leading media and sports organizations.” »
“I have tremendous respect for the industry leadership position that CAA and its management team continue to build upon each year,” added Smith. “My appreciation is even greater for its consistent and widely admired mission to provide the best possible service and resources to its customers. Joining a culture with this kind of clarity and purpose is an extraordinary opportunity.”
Prior to joining the NFL, Smith was executive vice president and global chief human resources officer at Sony Music Entertainment and also held leadership positions at Time Inc. for nearly 10 years.
