NLCS: Jackson Chourio sucks the life out of Dodger Stadium with leadoff home run off Blake Snell to spark Brewers’ Game 3 win
Well, it was a buzzkill for Dodgers fans.
With the Brewers holding a 2-0 lead in the National League Championship Series, the Dodgers were hoping a little home cooking could right the ship as the series moved to Los Angeles on Wednesday.

Then this happened.
It was Brewers leadoff hitter Jackson Chourio hitting a leadoff home run off two-time Cy Young Award winner Blake Snell on the first pitch of the game for a quick 1-0 Milwaukee lead. Snell left a fastball to the heart of the plate and Chourio made him pay.

Fans who had beaten Los Angeles traffic to show up for the 5 p.m. local start barely had time to settle into their seats before the air was sucked out of Dodger Stadium.

The Dodgers rallied to take a 2-1 lead in the sixth inning, but the Brewers fought back in the seventh with two more homers off Snell.
Jake Bauers capped an 11-pitch at-bat with a two-run homer to regain Milwaukee’s lead 3-2.
Two shots later, Snell gave up a solo shot to Garrett Mitchell that extended Milwaukee’s lead to 4-2.
And that was enough for Milwaukee to surprise the Los Angeles crowd with a 6-2 victory in Game 3 that included three home runs against Snell. The Brewers hold a 3-0 series lead, leaving the Dodgers in need of a historic effort to advance to a third straight World Series.
The only team to recover from a 3-0 deficit in MLB postseason history was the 2004 Boston Red Sox, who defeated their rival New York Yankees en route to their first World Series title since 1918.
